FOUNDER
Fueled by an unstoppable drive and armed with a hefty toolkit of skills in product and mechanical engineering, business development, strategic planning, and design leadership, my career path has been all about growth and exciting breakthroughs.
Starting with a First-Class Honors Degree, I really hit my stride at Dyson. There, my never-ending curiosity and a deep commitment to excellence pushed me to constantly hone my design skills. With a solid technical background and a genuine love for science and solving practical problems, I’ve always been at the cutting edge of crafting innovative solutions.
Being part of a team known for its groundbreaking design work, I’ve shown time and again that I'm a team player who’s all about achieving top-notch results. My motivation? A burning desire to explore the limits of what’s possible and to deliver sleek, effective outcomes.
Outside of my day-to-day job, I’ve reached Chartered Engineer status with the IMechE and ventured into creating my own successful brands and businesses. These side hustles have not only expanded my grasp on e-commerce but have also deepened my customer interactions and fine-tuned my skills in marketing and branding, adding even more layers to my diverse skill set.

From Global Innovation to Strategic Excellence
Ben Jones, Founder and Director of Enki Product Development, brings over 13 years of extensive experience in product design and engineering, having worked with renowned global innovation companies such as Dyson and Gembah. His journey is one of dedication to redefining the standards of product design, grounded in a strong academic background and a proven track record of success.
The Early Years: Building Expertise at Dyson
Ben's career began with a focus on user-centered design, where he honed his skills in identifying consumer problems and developing high-quality engineering solutions. At Dyson, he was instrumental in managing the development of complex products from concept to production, including patented innovations and bespoke testing methods. His role involved generating and developing concepts, performing risk analysis, and creating 3D CAD models, all while ensuring specifications were met on time and within budget.
Innovation and Leadership at Ruroc
At Ruroc, Ben further demonstrated his expertise and leadership as a Senior Design Engineer. Here, he introduced a new commercial strategy and led the development of an innovative product family through the NPI phase. One of his notable achievements was designing and implementing a manual assembly line for a new product range in China, marking the brand's first factory setup. Ben's ability to generate and develop concepts, manage team activities, and ensure high standards of production played a crucial role in Ruroc's success.
Leadership and Transformation at Gembah
At Gembah, Ben transitioned into leadership roles, serving as Design Manager and Design Director. He transformed client experiences, boosted company ratings, and implemented a milestone-based development process that enhanced development flow and risk management across various product categories. His strategic vision led to the standardization of project workflows using AI-driven templates and design tools, improving project visibility and client engagement.

Driven by a passion for innovation and a desire to create a consultancy that embodies excellence and transparency, Ben founded Enki Product Development. The company was born out of his commitment to leveraging the best practices from his extensive career and simplifying them into effective, client-centric solutions.
